2. What cookies are
A cookie is a small file that a website asks your browser to store on your device. Similar technologies, such as local storage and tracking pixels, do the same work by other means, and this document treats them in the same way.
A session cookie is deleted when you close your browser. A persistent cookie stays on your device until it expires or until you delete it.
A first party cookie is set by this website. A third party cookie is set by another organization whose content appears on a page you visit.
3. Cookies this website uses
Strictly necessary
These are needed for the site to load, to keep it secure, and to remember the cookie choice you make, so that you are not asked again on every page. They are set by this website and by Framer, the platform that hosts and publishes it. The site cannot be served without them, so they do not require your consent.
Analytics
If you accept non-essential cookies, we use website analytics to see which pages are read and how visitors reach them, in aggregate. We use that to improve the site, not to identify you. If you do not accept them, no analytics cookies are set.
Advertising and measurement
If you accept non-essential cookies, we use Google advertising tags to measure the results of our campaigns and to show our advertising to people who have visited this website. These are third party cookies set by Google, and Google's own privacy and cookie policies apply to them. They can involve a transfer of data outside the European Economic Area, under the safeguards described in section 5 of our Privacy Policy. If you do not accept non-essential cookies, these tags do not load at all.
What we do not use
We do not sell personal data. No cookie on this website collects health information, and no cookie of ours is placed inside our clinical software, which runs on the hospital's own infrastructure. Cookies on this website are never used to make an automated decision about anyone.
4. Third party content
Some pages carry content served by another organization, such as the security and certification badges in our footer. When that content loads, the organization serving it can set its own cookies, and its own cookie and privacy policies govern them. The Google advertising tags described in section 3 are third party in the same way, and they load only after you have accepted non-essential cookies. We do not embed social media feeds or video players that track viewing.
5. Managing your preferences
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through the cookie settings on this website. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of anything done while that consent was in place.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser. Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge all offer this in their privacy or security settings, together with a help page explaining what each option does. Note that a setting made in the browser applies to every website you visit, not only to this one.
6. If you refuse non-essential cookies
Nothing on this website is withheld from visitors who refuse non-essential cookies. Every page and every document stays available. Strictly necessary cookies cannot be switched off, because without them the site cannot be served securely.

This document is subject to document control. Any change is made in the master document, approved in accordance with the approval table on its first page, and only then reflected on this web page. Material changes are announced here.
